This section is dedicated to several kinds of programs, utilities, vst instruments or effects. Unless stated otherwise, they are free, and, most of the time, they are made for use on win32 systems. SE_unicalc
This is a tiny calculator specialized on SynthEdit value conversions. It is (hopefully) pretty self-explaining and will save you from digging for your hardware calculator or the helpfile section where all those cute formulas are stated. SE_unicalc can auto-copy its result into the windows clipboard to speed things up. It does not require any form of setup: Just unpack and run. SE_unicalc is made for win32 systems.

oxidizer
Oxidizer is a tool for embossing and amplifying artefacts of audio compression on your files. You can choose from mp3, ogg, gsm or noise reduction flavours of destruction. With multidize, you can even combine the whole goodness. This tool makes use of the LAME codec for mp3 mode and SoX for all other operation modes. Note that its default settings will not do any justice to the fidelity each of both are actually able to produce. It is meant to destroy. A good example of use might be the creation of alternative or backing tracks for audio material you already have. Oxidizer will work on windows systems from xp upwards and processes wave files. A bilingual readme htm page is included.
